- Do I Have To Attend Both Training Sessions Each Week?
No. Whilst we recommend you try and attend at least one session, they are not compulsory.
- Do I Have To Stay At Training?
Yes. We have a training policy that requires a parent or guardian to be present and onsite at all times.
Training & Safety Policy
The Club will ensure the utmost duty of care in providing your child/ren with a safe and pleasant environment in which to train. However our training policy requires a parent or guardian to be present and onsite at all times. The Club will not take responsibility for your child’s safety if they are left unattended. If you are unable to remain at training, we suggest you make friends with other parent/s and ask them to be responsible for your child/ren.
- Can My Child Play On The Playground?
Unfortunately No.
Our agreement with the Primary School only covers the oval grounds and NOT THE PLAYGROUNDS.
The school has asked us, not to allow the kids to play on any of their playgrounds at all.
- Can I Help Out During Training?
Yes Absolutely!
Coaches & Parent Helpers Are Always Welcome!
This club is run by volunteers and as we are a family club, we ask all Parents to have an active role in all training sessions. The coaches need your assistance in helping run activity stations as the more help we have the better quality of training we can achieve making it more enjoyable for everyone. The kids will also love that you are out there with them.
No experience in coaching is necessary, just a fun positive attitude is all that’s needed. Just like the kids, learn as you go. We have some excellent training videos you can watch to learn the basics, but essentially we need you there to help direct and keep the athletes safe.
- Can We Come Down For A Trial To See If We Like It?
Yes Absolutely!
You can come and try two training sessions and one competition day to see if athletics is for you and your family.
Simply register for your Come & Try here.
- Can We Just Train & Not Compete On Saturday's?
No!
When joining our club it is a requirement that you commit to competing on Saturday’s.
Whilst you don’t have to commit to every competition date, it’s an expectation that you will try and complete as many competition days as you can.
